Yes. A full-size washer and dryer is included in every apartment home at Crystal Flats, making laundry day as easy and convenient as possible.

Crystal Flats apartment homes are cable- and high-speed internet-ready.  Residents are responsible for setting up and managing their own cable and internet connections. For residents who work from home, our stylish clubroom and communal seating areas include dedicated work-from-home spaces.

Yes. Crystal Flats is a LEED-certified community offering ENERGY STAR-certified apartments. Crystal Flats received LEED Silver Certification in 2017 and is a participant in the Arlington County Green Building Density Incentive Program (GBIP). This program requires that energy consumption for common areas and resident apartment units be reported annually. Each year, the Crystal Flats team works with vendors to identify energy- and water-efficient options as lighting, HVAC equipment, or water fixtures need to be replaced. Additional eco-friendly features include energy-efficient lighting, low-flow plumbing to reduce water waste, low-VOC finishes for cleaner, healthier air, fully adjustable lighting and temperature controls, and ENERGY STAR stainless steel appliances. Crystal Flats charges various fees associated with each unique lease. You can find a high-level overview of select fees and policies listed below; however, our leasing team will provide a full, itemized cost sheet for the exact apartment home you’re considering before you sign your lease.

Non-Refundable Fees

• Application Fee — $50 per applicant over the age of 18
• One-Time Pet Fee — $500 per pet (up to 2 pets)
• Monthly Pet Rent — $60/Cat and $60/Dog
• Amenity Fee — $350 at Move-In
• Renewal Amenity Fee- $149
• Parking Fee — Reserved underground garage parking is $150/month for your first vehicle, then $225/month for any additional vehicle. Motorcycle parking is available for $100/month. Our garage also offers on-site EV charging stations.
• Storage Fee - Storage space is available for $50/month.
• Trash Fee - $15/Month
• Building Protection Fee - $10/Month. All residents will be enrolled in the Building Protection Program for $10 per month, which differs from your own Renter's Insurance. The Building Protection Program is not insurance for the tenant, but rather a protection measure for the building to allow quicker repairs after any resident-related damage.
• Move Out Cleaning Fee - A one-time $140 cleaning fee, which is paid when you provide your notice to vacate the apartment.

Refundable Fees

• Standard Security Deposit - $350 up to 2 months’ rent (based on credit approval), determined individually for each applicant 

Crystal Flats offers underground parking with controlled access entry, along with EV charging stations. Rates are as follows:

• Reserved underground garage parking is $150/month for your first vehicle, then $225/month for any additional vehicle.
• Motorcycle parking is available for $100/month.

Apartment home pricing varies by specific layout, location, features, lease term, and move-in date. We sporadically offer move-in specials for new residents, which may include free rent, waived fees, and other incentives. Specials vary by apartment home, lease term, and move-in date, so availability changes often. We offer both in-person and live video tours at Crystal Flats. Tours cannot be scheduled online less than 4 hours in advance, and walk-in tours are welcome during business hours based on our team’s availability. To ensure the best experience, we recommend calling ahead to confirm. You can schedule a tour of Crystal Flats online or take a 360° virtual tour anytime.

Please note, to tour or lease any of our apartment homes, you must have either a valid U.S.-, Mexico-, or Canada-issued driver’s license or a valid, current passport. We will complete an ID verification in advance of your tour.

The Dweck Customer Service Pledge guarantees that if we haven’t met your expectations within the first 30 days of your lease start, simply provide a 30-day written notice to either 1) transfer to another residence within our community, 2) transfer to another Dweck community, or 3) break your lease (no questions asked and no additional fees).

Crystal Flats has a dedicated on-site maintenance team. Residents can submit non-emergency maintenance requests through the resident portal, and can call our dedicated resident phone number for emergency maintenance needs.

The Dweck Properties Customer Service Pledge guarantees that during weekdays, any non-emergency maintenance requests, questions, or concerns submitted will receive a personal response within two business days. If we cannot complete the non-emergency maintenance request within two business days, you will be notified of the status and when to expect resolution.

Yes! All packages are delivered to the property and logged by our concierge team for safekeeping. Residents can pick up their packages directly from the concierge, or sign up for our Parcel Pending lockers for a one-time $20 fee. With lockers, we'll place your packages inside, and you can retrieve them anytime using your PIN or barcode. Please note that we don't offer delivery to individual apartment doors.

Yes, Crystal Flats offers concierge service dedicated to providing personalized assistance for our residents. Our concierge team is available 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 24 hours on Friday and Saturday.

Crystal Flats offers a full suite of amenities designed for modern living. Residents enjoy our two-tiered SkyDeck rooftop lounge with a rooftop pool, patio, cabanas, outdoor dining areas, and fireplace with plush seating, plus a 24/7 fitness center with the latest cardio and strength-training gear, a stylish clubroom with a kitchen, social seating areas, and work-from-home spaces, and a courtyard with outdoor fireplaces, landscaping, and an elegant water feature.

Additional highlights include 24-hour concierge service, a pet grooming station, bike storage and a bike workstation, underground parking with controlled-access entry, smart locks and thermostats, elevator access (including freight and loading dock access), and social resident events, all in a non-smoking community. Your pets are welcome at Crystal Flats! Each apartment home allows up to two pets. Cats and dogs each require a $500 one-time fee and $60 monthly pet rent. Breed restrictions may apply, so please review the full Dweck Properties pet policy. Residents also have access to an on-site pet grooming station, making pet ownership at Crystal Flats easy and convenient.

Crystal Flats is located at 505 18th St S in Arlington, VA, in the heart of National Landing, Virginia’s closest bordering neighborhood to Washington, D.C. National Landing is made up of three thriving neighborhoods (Crystal City, Pentagon City, and Potomac Yard) and sits on the shores of the Potomac River overlooking the D.C. skyline. As Virginia’s largest walkable downtown, it blends the best of city living and the urban outdoors. The newly reimagined Water Park on Crystal Drive is a local favorite, with food kiosks, a cocktail and oyster bar, and outdoor seating. For everyday errands, a Whole Foods Market Daily Shop is right in Crystal City, while Westpost (formerly Pentagon Row) and the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City offer additional dining, retail, and conveniences a short walk, bike, or Metro ride away.

The Whole Foods Market Daily Shop in Crystal City is the closest option for everyday essentials. The full-size Whole Foods Market in Pentagon City and Harris Teeter locations in Pentagon City and Potomac Yard are also nearby, and Costco in Pentagon City is great for bulk staples.

The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is the area’s premier shopping destination, with department stores and a wide range of national retailers just a short walk or one Metro stop from Crystal Flats. Next door, Westpost (formerly Pentagon Row) offers shops, restaurants, and a seasonal ice-skating rink.

Crystal Flats’ premier location offers expansive entertainment options, including the walkable Lucky Strike bowling alley, Lantern Restaurant & Karaoke Bar, and the  Alamo Drafthouse Crystal City, home to a nine-screen dine-in cinema with first-run films, specialty programming, and an aviation-themed bar. Just minutes away, the Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center at Long Bridge Park offers even more ways to stay active, and the Mount Vernon Trail is a favorite for runners and cyclists along the Potomac River.  For more variety, Movement Crystal City offers nearby indoor rock climbing and training. The Mount Vernon Trail is one of the region’s most scenic multi-use trails, running along the Potomac River from George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate past Old Town Alexandria and Reagan National Airport to Theodore Roosevelt Island. It connects to the Four Mile Run Trail and the Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail for longer rides and runs, and residents can store their bikes on-site with our bike storage and workstation.

Crystal Flats residents have access to over a dozen nearby parks. Long Bridge Park offers more than 36 acres of recreation and open space, and Gravelly Point Park along the Potomac is a local favorite for picnics, plane spotting, and river views. The Water Park on Crystal Drive adds a lively outdoor gathering space just steps from home, and our on-site courtyard features outdoor fireplaces and an elegant water feature.  The brand-new Metropolitan Park (locally known as “Met Park”) is another nearly outdoor destination featuring green space, playgrounds, dining, and community activations. Absolutely. With a Walk Score of 92 and the Crystal City Metro station just steps away, Crystal Flats is ideal for car-free living. The Blue and Yellow lines connect you to downtown Washington, D.C., Reagan National Airport, and the entire region, and the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) is nearby for regional commuting. The Crystal City Metro station, served by the Blue and Yellow lines, is just steps from Crystal Flats, and the Pentagon City Metro station is also within walking distance. From Crystal City, Reagan National Airport is just one stop away, and downtown Washington, D.C. is only minutes away by Metro.

Reagan National Airport is less than two miles from Crystal Flats, within walking distance or just one Metro stop from the Crystal City station. For residents who travel frequently, this is an exceptional convenience and one of the most accessible airport locations in the entire D.C. metro area.

Yes. The Crystal City Virginia Railway Express (VRE) station is within walking distance of Crystal Flats, providing commuter rail service between downtown Washington, D.C. and major Virginia suburbs along the I-66 and I-95 corridors. Our Preferred Employer Program supports local public service and community-serving professionals. The program offers a 3% rent concession and a waived application fee for eligible applicants with the following professions:

• Firefighters
• Police
• Any school personnel (teachers, admin, custodial, etc.)
• EMS/EMT (Emergency Medical Services/Technicians)

In order to qualify for the discount:

• The professional must live and work in the same county/city as our community
• Applicants must provide proof of employment via a paystub or otherwise
• If another special discount is offered for the apartment home you’d like to rent, you can choose that special pricing or the 3% discount, but not both

Crystal Flats is an active participant in the Military Rental Partnership Program (RPP), which means that we offer a 5% military discount to active-duty individuals who qualify through participating bases and defense organizations. The program may include waived security deposit, application, and credit check fees, subject to location- and organization-specific participation guidelines. Qualifying military situations (such as active duty, deployment, change of duty station, reservist or National Guard activation, voluntary enlistment, draft, or release from active duty) allow early lease termination consistent with SCRA protections, without lease termination fees or concession payback charges when documentation is provided. Foreign Service members and Diplomats can request additional lease-break accommodations through the leasing team.
